I'm sorry but you are mistaken - there are lots of options:

Container format can be either AVI or MKV.

There are built-in codecs for uncompressed (not recommended), NV12, RTV1 and MJPEG.

You can use any Video for Windows (VFW) codec you have installed in your system. (Select "VFW compression", then click "..." to select and configure codec.) (Note that you may need either 32- and/or 64-bit codec for different games, depending on the configuration you have. See my earlier post in thread "Game Recording crashes instantly" for details.)

You can select hardware encoding: Intel QuickSync and Nvidia NVENC are currently working (depending on your hardware). AMD solution stopped working a while back, but should return in a later version. (Select external plugin, then click "..." to select and configure plugin.)

Sorry for bumping this up... I am uploading World of Tanks replays to Youtube and since last week I am unable to do that anymore.
Any ideas would greatly help setting me to the right path. Thank you!

I can confirm OSD or recording don't seem to work in World of Tanks.

WorldOfTanks.exe is recognized as a 3D process and video prerecording seems to initiate (there's the flashing icon in the graphs window), but there is no OSD and no video capture file is created.

I tried a few setting tweaks in RTSS, but didn't manage to get it working.

    Thank you, @gedo.
I should add they worked fine no earlier than a week ago. No settings were changed until I realized they don't work anymore.

Thanks, I'll install WOT and investigate which changes in WOT engine caused that. No promises on the nearest few weeks, I have rather limited time now.

Thank you so much, no rush though, whenever possible is good.
I also have put up a topic in the WoT bug forum (reference), no response so far. I'll update if there's any reply.

    Just do this

Go to C:\Games\World_of_Tanks (your game folder)

    Right click on WorldOfTanks.exe >properties>compatibility

check the box compatibility mode and choose Windows 7

    click OK

    (Have fun?)

..... I also have done what is in the post #2157 on this thread

Now I am sure: Have fun

Dont spray this information over the web, may be the DEVs dont want you to use MSI AB... :p

Same problem with iRacing since the last update. They added EAC anti-cheat wrapper to it and since then no FPS is registered by AB and video recording fails to work despite correctly picking up the iracingsim64.exe as the 3D process.

Any chance of a fix? Was kinda hoping to record the Blancpain 3hr Endurance races that will be starting on 10th of Oct.

    Confirmed.
    You, sir, are a genius!
    Thank you so much!

LE: client hangs randomly while recording under Windows 7 compatibility but works so far under Windows 8 compatibility.

    Nice!

Genious? Just a shot in the dark.... =)

    I record using Shadowplay

MSI AB and HWiNFO to monitor temps, clock, voltage of GPU and CPU on screen.

That's not the case, RTSS just needs to be updated to detect D3D9Ex applications compiled with Windows 10 support declared inside the manifest. So yes, it currently can be cured via selection Win7 or Win8 compatibility mode for such applications.

That's the thing, Shadowplay didn't work either... for some reason.

Thank you for looking into this! :)

Afterburner's OSD does not work in StarCraft 2 anymore.

    Any chance to fix it?

    PSU: Cougar GX 1050W
    CPU: Intel Core i7 4820K
    MB: ASUS P9X79 LGA 2011
    MEM: Corsair DDR3 2x4GB
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    GPU: ASUS GTX760 2GB
    NVidia driver v. 358.50
    MSI Afterburner v. 4.1.1.7625

MSI Afterburner define the StarCraft 2 process as 3D application but no OSD in game and no screen/video capture is possible.

Try running Starcraft 2 in Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatibility mode.
    See this post.

Is there a way to edit the shadow size/thickness on the OSD?

Alrighty than. Could it be added possibly into the cfg atleast? I noticed black shadows are thinner than white shadows for example. Just wanted to adjust it.
