( creators update ). it goes like that : im trying to add it, the OS tells me its gotta access windows update to download files - im accepting, its downloading and than the screen gets stuck ( in downloading ) above 15-20 mins without progressing. my OS is working fine, updates working fine.. can't seem to solve it. suggestions will be welcome, thanks in advance

Ahh.. you beat me to it, yeah basically the offline .Net 3.5 install via admin command prompt will do it, you can use a physical Windows DVD as a source or a mounted Windows ISO within windows. I'll just copy paste it here seeing as it's pretty simple. Open command prompt as administrator and type. Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:E:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess Change the source letter to that of your source DVD or ISO letter.
well.. thanks for the replies. i have managed to solve the problem using the Win 10 USB and running the command under cmd. it worked fine. the offline installers are not working, at least for me. getting stuck in the middle of the installation. i don't remember i had this problem before the latest creators update. anyway, i needed the installation for some older games, and i can confirm it only works for me with the manual solution with cmd. thanks for the help.
