Hey guys, a friend replaced a fried nVIDIA 560m on that laptop (discrete card) and the no-signal laptop is now showing image to the lcd.
Since that laptop's builtin gfx card is passing through the nvidia one to go to the screen, having a signal means that the board is ok at least.
But Windows10 isn't seeing the card, not even in Device Manager, so he can't install any drivers.
Is there something/somewhere he needs to toggle to turn the discrete card on?

I don't think it's a matter of windows waking it up when they need the 3D as the card won't even appear in device manager.

So it seems the issue is that the replacement card is for a Dell and not for an MSI laptop and needs a vbios flash.
