Upgrade help

    You can use more that 4GB in GTA5 without mods at 1080. But whatever I just put out my opinion.

    And your comment could be biased towards AMD option. How does that even make sense?

    I did end up ordering the gigabyte g1 gaming 1060. Should arrive tomorrow. Went with it for the overclocking and the power consumption compared to my 780 and the fury

    As long as you got the 6GB version, you are in fantastic shape.
    The 3GB version is missing more then 3GB of VRAM, it's also missing some CUDA cores.

    Good pick, solid all rounder for 1080p.

    Give some feedback when you get it, curious how far you can OC it. Should be possible to get 2k mhz.

    So far just playing rise of the tomb raider, with the overlock the boost is staying around 2088, going to 2100 from time to time as well. I went with +155 on the core and +725 on the memory. Temps staying around 65c
