hullo... okay. i have a dual screen setup (HDMI TV + monitor), running off a NVIDIA GTX 660. TV: from the HDMI port on the 660, into a receiver and out to the TV monitor: from the DVI-D port on the 660, into the monitor HDMI sound card audio: optical out into optical in on the receiver. the thing i am wondering is why, when i am using the optical for audio and turn off the TV, does the monitor turn off as well? i thought that since the audio is separate then the monitor would stay on. if i switch the monitor's cable from DVI-D -> HDMI to DVI-D -> DVI-D, will that help? pardon the bit confusion... bests
