    2nd Comparison
    OFF: http://i.imgur.com/7pf2bPQ.jpg
    HBAO+: http://i.imgur.com/cOJCdmV.jpg

Notes: To use the flag, select "Most EA Strategy Games" profile on Inspector to work with game executable (game.dat), or download the inspector profile here -> https://www.mediafire.com/?mcfc0n62rl6b1ti . Found no issues with "32" atm, other options flickers alot while zooming or rotating camera. 0x00000006 worked aswell but bleeds and disables when accessing menus.

Update: Even "32" has flickering issues on later levels of the campaign, so HBAO in this title is impossible without major problems. :bang:

Are you sure? I have a faint recollection of reading that some kind of occlusion was prebaked.

Probably need to play it in a 4:3 resolution is why. Blame bad porting.

Try playing with a 4:3 and let the driver pillar box it.

Re-reading this, would you mind testing to see if any flags work when you *are* using the letterboxing? (Black bars) and when you just increase the FOV without removing the letterboxing too?

I'm one of the weird people that would want to play this game with black bars :infinity:

I wanted to play Deadly Premonition and try get definitive AA/AO info. But I can't even get the game to run at all. Crashes with/without DPFix after intro video.

Tried aftermentioned adding DP.exe to LAV filters blacklist in Registry. LAV didn't exist in mentioned locations (Probably because didn't install it with a binary). Even created it exactly to spec. Restart. Still nothing.

LAV and MPC-HC are a pain in the ass to set up with Mad VR. So I won't be uninstalling it. And I guess I won't be able to enjoy this game or even test it.. Meh.

Oh did I mention "DP.exe" belongs to the driver profile for DeadPool? so if you want to make one for Deadly Premonition, you have to delete that .exe from the Deadpool profile

Edit: Grr.. maybe I will. So annoying!!:stewpid::stewpid:

Right off the bat the in game SSAO has some really bad issues. Massive clouding/flickering.
Also right off the bat, these two flags work great!

    0x0000002F (Subtle) or 0x00000030 (Strong)

Disable the in game SSAO by setting "AmbientOcclusion=False" in "MazeSystemSettings" in "My Games\UnrealEngine3-MazeGame\MazeGame\Config"

So "0x00110000" works for all resolutions and aspect ratios?
If this is the case, then I think we should only have this flag in the list.
Personally I'm getting a little confused by all of this

I would be nice, if someone could confirm this also works at 16:10 and 21:9 resolutions (with and without "black bars")

So through some very quick testing in Lords of the Fallen, the way to turn off in-game ambient occlusion is by switching shadows from Very High down to High. I couldn't immediately tell any differences in shadow quality, so I believe the only thing that changes is Ambient Occlusion. Now I will test the differences between no AO, in-game AO, and HBAO+ and update this post.

    EDIT:

    No AO: http://abload.de/img/noao4dp4g.png
    In-game AO: http://abload.de/img/in-gameaoa9q5s.png
    HBAO+ (official flag): http://abload.de/img/hbao2mqkz.png

Why the hell did Nvidia even bother? It is barely noticeable. It honestly took me a while to figure out if it was even working.

EDIT 2: Okay, so the in-game AO is incredibly unstable on grass and looks awful. HBAO+ is stable on grass, so I'm going to use HBAO+. However, HBAO+ also flickers during cutscenes. Since the effect isn't too strong, it isn't all that bad, but it's annoying that an official profile has issues like this.

Also, I have not tested other DX11 profiles to see if one might work. I may do that at some point, but I'm tired of fiddling with it and I'm just gonna play for tonight :p

agreed, after some testings, "0x00110000" works with 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 resolutions, with or without letterboxing, so this one should be the best solution.

    i've updated the OP!

Shocker, Nvidia's own "official" flag is spotty?? Nowai

Also: Is there a way to disable the Chromatic Aberration? I'm getting REALLY freakin sick and tired of that **** being thrown into every game. Ruins everything it touches.

As long as there are no negative side effects, I don't think would be an issue too much

Kinda, but it pisses me off greatly. Your only option is all post-processing on or all post-processing off. I hate the effect with a passion, ESPECIALLY in a game where you are supposed to be aware of your surroundings.

If anyone is able to run Serious Sam 3 in DX11 without crashing, would you mind testing flags? I can't get the game not to crash
