Hey, I, just now am looking in to buy a video card cause my comp is getting crappy, but I have no idea what to get. It is a custom made pentium II 400mhz with 64ram. I dont know if it has an AGP slot, i know it has pci because it is a pentium class cpu. I want to spend about 100-200$ on a video card. I dont know wether to get the 3d prophet II mx or something like a voodoo 3 3000. Can anyone help me out in a decision?
email me if you want aws354@aol.com haha aol.

Allright, you really need to figure out if it does have AGP or not. If it doesn't have AGP then you can throw the ProphetII MX out of your shopping list, and stick to the Voodoo 3 PCI. Or you might even want to consider a Voodoo 4500 PCI.
If you do have a AGP slot, then you have more options. A Geforce2 MX or a Radeon SDR will very well suit your gaming cravings, and each are less than $200.
------------------
Amir R. Much thanks, To find out if I have AGP or not I just have to unscrew the face and check for it right. The agp and pci slots have different looks to them or something...
Now one other thing. Getting a geforce2 MX would be a lot better than a voodoo 3000 or 4500 right? I seem to know nothing about video cards.

Well, it depends on what you need.
Go ahead and read the reviews of the Geforce2 MX video cards we have here at Guru3D.
http://www.guru3d.com/review/elsa/gladiacmx/index1.html
http://www.guru3d.com/review/guillemot/3dprophet2mx/index1.html
Also, check other hardware websites for a review of the Voodoo 4500.
I recommend a Geforce2 MX for it's support for more advance features. But you may want Glide support or better FSAA, so it's up to you to decide what you want.
------------------
Amir R.
