Hi, its been a while since have been on here!.

with the HD price crash i have just got me a 360 HD drive and am running it off my games pc. this i hope to be my hidef media pc when i next upgrade, however, whilst it CAN to HDDVD its right on the edge.

on watching a film cpu occupancy is between 70 - 100% and am wondering if there are any improved drivers out there, on a couple of occasions i had a few frames drop out..

    am running

Vista Ultimate with the drivers supplied
    powerDVD, AnyDVDHD

    Single Core A64 3700 @2750mhz
    Asus Nforce 4 mobo
    onboard sound/network
    2gb of ram
    xxx 256mb Geforce 7800GTX

are there any optimied drivers out there?

    also

am wodnering if my gpu is doing all the work it can to help out the cpu, as nvidia purvision is ticked but greyed out in powerdvd when running HDDVD

a chap on avforums says that the GTX doesnt support purvision but the GTS DOES, however the nvidia site does not seem to agree.

the following if my powerdvd info. (which does seem to suggest purevideo is running but if thats the case why is my cpu working so hard?

    thanks for any thoughts
