Your Blender renders I could not find a thread about that, so here it is. I'm pretty sure that some users already made something with blender. I wasn't sure where to post, here or at the digital photography section, so may the Admin move the thread if nessesary. Very nice render, I'd change the lighting a bit and give the tiles more reflectivity so the scene looks more attractive. The particles and some camera angles are great in the animation.
You are right. Color changed because of sRGB Effect of normal map reduced Displacement added Reflection of faucet and soap dispenser added.
Now its cooler outside, so I could render something. Next step is figuring out how to use rigid body in a more komplex scene, the first try looks promising.
I'm impressed. I always remember making a render on my Amiga 500 of a shark swimming between some reeds/sea plants. The tutorial I used was a free one in Amiga format with a free trial of the rendering tool used. It took ages. After doing the initial gui stuff it then took about three hours to render it with ray tracing. So me and my pal went and got half drunk and stoned. Eventualy the image slowly appeared on my TV screen. LOL it looked more like a coke can with teeth wrapped up in some sort of green stuff.
@OP the original towel pic is spot on imo and I prefer the tiles too, I think you nailed it. I like the other pics too could you give us a basic idea of what this blender program is and what it's capable of, just a quick few words on it, cheers.
Blender is a very advanced open source 3D rendering software. Some open movies and one open game have been made with it. But I'm sure blender is also used in some commercials and movies because its free.
Not to sound argumentative but I think SLI-756 is more than capable of finding the program himself. A moments consideration and it's easy enough to assume that SLI may have been trying to stimulate a conversation and evoke a more in depth take from Spider's perspective, as it's his thread. You know, as a sort opener for a discussion as opposed to just pics of renders ? For Gawds sake man, it's the internet, it's not just about googling things! LOL
