Seems spot on this end, now I worked out why I couldn't sign in, will likely be different for each machine, but so far it feels fine, don't see any reason for me to go back to 8.1 yet, but I haven't tried any games yet, just that DX12 3DMark test Just what's in the thread, use IDM to download quicker from openload
Been using it for awhile now (10240). GTA V has some bad bad stutter, frametime will not get stable. 8.1 was as smooth as anything. Apart from that. It's a good release.
Rebooted my PC to run the Windows 10 installation upgrade from my USB memory stick, only to be told that I had to reboot into Windows 8.1 normally then insert the USB stick again and run the setup.exe from there! Ironically, that is what I was going to do in the first place! After what seemed like an age checking for updates, the installer seemed to take another long time before I had to confirm the uninstalling of Windows Media Centre and then confirm what I wanted to keep before I could even click the Install button. Install is currently sitting at 56% and I am as nervous as hell for no real reason...yet!
Yup, upgrades need to be done from inside of windows -- Anyone trying to get Corsair Link working, rename the exe to CorsairLink1.exe Then to fix it not starting with windows, change the scheduled task in Task Scheduler to the same exe name
I haven't been able to log into my MSA either since build 10166. Both were clean installs though. Not sure what is going on. It might some how be related to the generic key/Hardware ID, as it DID activate despite me never entering a key. I'm just gonna leave it as is (logged in with a local account) and just wait til the 29th to see if anything is resolved.
so I had to go about the long way as nothing would activate on the iso. I installed 10162 fine and that didnt need a key or anything. but no updated version is showing up in windows update. im all good for the insider prog and messed about with the registry so am on the TH1 thing but nothing. can it take a while from first install to get any new releases as I only did it about 2am last night?
Tried, tried to 7 and 8 and each time it said This OS does not support it Uninstalled and reinstalled in 8 compatibility mode, same thing Renamed the exe, job done More Win 10 strangeness
It is located here: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup I didn't try that because I wasn't sure if it'd mess up any other devices I have attached/reliant on that account. Hopefully they'll fix it before release to work with two-step verification.
