Ken Block aside, Dirt 2 was an amazing game with fun, chuckable car handling

Colin McRae Rally and Dirt Rally are the only ones I like. The Dirt series did nothing for me.

CMR 2005 is one of favorite games of all time. I almost started crying when the online servers were shut down. They killed my favorite game :-/

Dirt Rally is nice, but its handling and lack of multiplayer killed it for me.

Dirt 3 was obnoxiously bad. "Woah dude, that's raaaad man, cool yo check this out yah". For ****'s sake.

I loved the first Dirt as it has way more type of vehicles like Trucks etc, but also loved the Dirt 2 as it was the very first DX11 tittle and had an amazing soundtrack, the Dirt 3 was a disaster and Dirt Rally improved a bit but still boring.

I enjoyed the original Dirt game, even though I remember performance issues.

Dirt 2 not so much as it got quite Americanised, but it did look nice and run well.

I bought 3 a while back, not played it yet. How does it compare to 1/2, which are quite different from each other.

My issue with the 3 is that is too repetitive, the tracks are just the same over and over again, the challenges are also the same and the soundtrack is lame. The game overall lacks from enthusiasm and a soul.

I like DiRT 3 but then it's the only one of the series I have played.

Dirt - Pretty much the greatest racing game ever for me. Online was sensational.
Dirt 2 - Again really great not quite as good.
Dirt 3 - Got a bit annoyed with some of the challenges and the buddy system but it was fun
Dirt Showdown - Really fun all the way through until it ended really quickly.......disappointing
Dirt Rally - Cannot for the life of me play the darn thing I'm really bad at it and get no enjoyment from finishing last all the time - Have no intention to try learning something this tricky.
Dirt 4 - Please please for the love of god make it easier - Dirt rally handling and learning curve and I'm avoiding this series from now on.

They definitely went downhill though, I used to look forward to Codemaster's racing games after the original Dirt and Grid, but not so much for the last few years or maybe even longer.

The Dirt rally franchise was always a good one for me. I will definitely pick this up. This is one of the few proper racing games wit no bullS attached to it.

    .
    Pastrana was dirt 1.
Block was not the only one is dirt 2.
You also has Dave mirra, And Travis Pastrana as well.
    Dirt 2 was awesome.
It had a good balance of rally and fun.
Had raid trucks and Baja trucks.
Dirt 3 was just meh with the relative tracks.
Too much gymkana, short rally stages and lack of off road vehicles beyond rally.

I haven;t played enough of the newer Dirt games to comment on whether I really like them or not.. but 1 and 2 were really fun.

My favorite racing game of all time though is still
    Need For Speed: Porsche.

Being able to collect every single Porsche car and fix them up was really cool.

Thinking about it makes me want to install it again to play it.

I have NFS Porsche installed. It was an epic game and wish we could have a proper remake.
My favorite racing game of all time is very tough to choose.
But my favorite NFS was High Stakes.

So far the dirt series for me in order of favorites.
Dirt, when modded, became a really good rally game.
Dirt Rally, Nothing needs to be said how amazing this game is.
Dirt 2, had the best balance of racing with different series, and fun.
Dirt Showdown, not a normal dirt game but was fun!
Dirt 3, was just a bore fest for me.

    HELL YES!
I still have it and it works with my G25!
