Extraordinary ... prepare yourself. RTM is coming. https://twitter.com/donasarkar/status/755111505595510784
Me too... It would be around 3AM local time in my experience. I'll wait until I finish rise of the tomb raider before installing it, I can't have my steam big picture mode broken
My tablet has a 500mb recovery partition after the Windows partition and a 128mb System partition as the first one. So first System, then Windows (C: ), then Recovery. It is GPT.
14393 has dropped, most people think it's RTM, but nothing in writing yet And then some on twitter saying 14395/6 could be it I've installed it anyway
It makes sense to have the build as late as possible before 02 August. The necessity for RTM to be ready a fortnight beforehand is greatly diminished with Windows 10. As I mentioned previously, version '1607' means yymm, not ddmm. By using yymm, they have version numbers up to December 2099 (9912), and you would always know what is the later version. If it were ddmm, then having it 1607 automatically precludes any day of the month before the 16. In any case, I wouldn't fresh install until the final build or zero day patch is available to insiders. Even then, I would probably wait until the first build of RS2 insider, seeing as I plan to stick on the insider programme, to do a fresh install.
Insiders has only been running with 10, and 10s RTMs have always hit insiders around a fortnight earlier than public Yep, that's been beaten to death already lol I'm waiting for RTM confirmation before a clean install, that's why I did an upgrade instead, I'm quitting insiders for a good few months after this hits RTM I think, first few months releases are buggy with next to no visible changes anyway, and I need a break from grabbing ESDs, decrypting, upgrading, testing, then doing it again 2 days later
lssas.exe failed on resuming from sleep. lol. Hopefully that was just one off. Seen similar failures happen on older builds. RS1 is fast when resuming from sleep but prone to the odd issue. Once it failed to load iastorea.sys. I did 5 resumes from sleep for testing and they were just fine. There's a bucket_id attached to that bsod so MS has the data, I guess I shouldn't be surprised this early into 1607.
I have 5 UEFI systems that all show that screen when powered on....both of my legacy systems show BIOS info and then the Windows logo (without the little circle thing). The screenshot above is actually normal for a UEFI system to display at power on. That little circle thing is to indicate that the system is loading system level device drivers for UEFI compatible hardware. If you have fast boot (the UEFI feature, not the Windows one) enabled, you won't see that screen.
This is weird, I insert my old 360 controller and steam big picture detects it correctly as one xinput controller. If I plugin my xbox one controller it will detect two xinput controllers. Any way I can disable this duplicate "controller" in steam? Happening only with RS1 builds. edit: got wired mode to work ... wireless is still an issue.
I dont see the turn off option anymore but its works exactly the same for me. I think its an issue blow out of proportion and afaik programs like anti-beacon can still be used. Im using the newest build and everything seem the same to me lol.
