So, logic dictates they are there, but they aren't making Maxwell GPUs win any prizes. Look at Pascal, it's doing much better and acing the test. Async can give a significant boost already, but Nvidia wasn't interested in it when designing Maxwell (because it wasn't today's tech back then, to repeat myself), instead they opted to include stuff that doesn't seem to matter as much. That's why I say it's dx12 on paper but it's in reality a perfect dx11 GPU.

But yeah, I'm not a processor engineer, so you are free to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. I can only derive assumptions based on statistics.
Conservative raster-based effects are hardly available right now, it would help with ray traced shadows, global illumination and the likes (theoretically anything raytracing); all of these are heavy performance sinkers.
VXAO while a nice feature, it's just that: an AO technique. AO is not exactly expensive in the first place.

And async compute's performance boost is not that big because it's highly situational. Hitman saw a 10% performance increase in the best cases for example. Unfortunately async compute at this time does seem big because DX12 has been a bit of a disappointment so far. There's barely any improvement from DX11 in titles that support both.

I'd have imagined that by now we'd actually have every DX12 feature put to work but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Even tried messing with voltage some more in case it wasn't 100% stable but no change.

As you can see 280/280X perform similiar at the same clocks. Difference is within 5%.

We gonna need an upgrade man.

These benchmarks just derailed the AMD 'Async compute' hype train.
No worries for the GTX1060 that is supposed to be left in the dust by the RX480 according to some.

It hasn't really, AMD cards still getting nice performance boosts with async enabled, and still more than Pascal.

Think this benchie pretty much ends the async on Maxwell question as well.

Not that im complaining about performance in this, if games were like this then I would've alot less cynical abit DX12 and Vulkan.

It is at 4.2GHz indeed.

I can't explain the difference tbh, on paper they should be the same.

Guess i found my first Time spy bug, been trying to run time spy on my brand new ASUS ROG GL552VW, score is.....302!!!..

not kidding
did not expect much but this is just sad, knowing my score with fire strike is around 4090 marks! again not much
found out time spy is only loading with the integrated intel 530
contacted future mark support hope they'll have a fix soon.

Its running on a igpu for some reason. I would not expect much from GL552VW and 960m tho.

If im not mistaken, i've seen someone here running this on a laptop, 980m it worked fine.

i know it's running on the IGPU and seems i'm not the only one on the future mark forums with this problem.
was not expecting mush from the 960M to start with..but the erge to bench marks...still...was expecting score like 1500 .. a score of 302 is waaay to low.

So what sort of scaling are people getting in multi GPU, saw someone claiming CF was not working, while my brother in law only getting around 75% with 2x980ti.

My performance pretty much doubled though, which is a first with this system, so hoping it wasn't an anomaly.

Hello everyone, I have a problem. The Demo and two GPU tests works normally, but when I reach the CPU test, it instantly CTD with a "stopped working" message.

In the end I get a valid GPU score, but my total and CPU score remains at 0! Does anyone have any idea why is this happening?

PS: i tried both 32 and 64 bit versions. (and not able to post links before i reach 10 posts, so just delete space between http and : )
