Default A Dream Come True : 3dfx Voodoo5 6000 Gold Second Edition @200 MHz - 12-03-2011, 02:35 | posts: 40 | Location: France

Hello everybody,

I am Trevormacro. I am new.

I have 3dfx prototype card : Voodoo 5 6000 3700 A / Hyundai 6ns / Hank's Rework.

I change all 16 Hyundai 6ns sdram by 3.5ns 128bit 86pin sdram.

Here is my New World Project named 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 Gold Second Edition @200 MHz

It's a Full working card.

First modding part :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZAPxMqISag

Second modding part :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07ySeVH8i5Y

Third modding part :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL9AoSL0kQY

Voodoo5 6000 Gold Second Edition :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvvtCIp8cFo

Fourth modding part :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wA3tpLBdmo

6016 marks in 3dmark2001se @200 MHz :

Hardwares :

- Asus p5wdgw ws pro
- Intel E8400
- 4Gb DDR2

Softwares :

- Koolsmoky Betas Drivers
- Windows XP Pro

This Voodoo5 6000 Gold SE is a formula one!

201 MHz passed in 3DMark2001Se

ps. Anyway, I am very happy to see runing my card over 200MHz for benchmarking! It is amazing!

The card runs so well to 200MHz, but for runing over 200MHz, it depends from heat room.

Card worked during some minutes to 203MHz in 3DMark2001se.

When i remember right: wasn't it the primary goal of 3dfx to run the V56k at 183mhz? So now 3dfx got it and much more ...

Your impressions, reactions ?

Best Regards,

Trevormacro

had a voodoo 5 5500 and it sucked in terms of compatibility with old games

dgvoodoo with WinXP's NTVDM ruled, was able to use supersampling 16x eq AA (or 8x eq + edge detect)/16xAF on the glide output at 1600/1200 and it looked so sweet from it, it was the only thing that'd run TES Redguard at over 1280/1024 without corruption

But grats on your mods and results, at 1280/1024+AA V5 rules
