So my company requires our notebooks/laptops to be encrypted and i found out that the software doesn't work on an eMMC harddrive. This is what confuses me is that what is the reason behind this and also how come windows 10 OS can be installed on an eMMC drive at all? I did a bit of reading on eMMC drives and found out that it's usually used by say phones/tablets etc and that it's cheaper than traditional ssd/sata drives. Could someone just kind of update me a bit on the restrictions of eMMC drives.
