Memory Allocation Policy

    This option was mentioned in the latest 337.50 Quadro thread, but rather than derail it I figured I'd just start a new thread.

    So... What does this do? A Google search turns up practically nothing (including the original Quadro thread I'm referring back to), but I see nothing useful. Another poster in that thread said 0x1 is conservative, while 0x2 is aggressive, but I still don't understand the context here.

    If someone would be so kind as to help better inform me. Thanks.

    Its for quadro/tesla gpus and workstation apps, your 780TI won't benefit from it anyway :)


    Its something about using more vram by gpus with 6gb+, ie newer K6000 with 12gb vram. Also to use higher textures i think over 16k x 16k ..
    Don't take my word for granted though, I saw something like that mentioned in Quadro release notes.

    Gotcha, thanks. I now see that the first poster who mentioned it does have a Quadro listed in his specs. ;)
