I have just received an Acer Aspire 7750G-6645. Fortunately for me, it is a major upgrade over my current computer; unfortunately for me it has a muxless dual-card graphics setup. I know that you need a modded BIOS to actually use the dedicated graphics card instead of letting the included helper app try (and usually fail, even without any kind of dicey modification) to force applications to render on the dedicated hardware when the integrated card is the only "real" display adapter present. What I don't know is how to do it, where I can find a reputable source of hacked BIOS patches, and how to fix it when it breaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
