all this talk of Titan has got me itching for an upgrade from my MSI GTX 580...anyone have any opinions on which of these 2 GTX 670 cards they would choose... GIGABYTE GTX 670 Windforce OC vs MSI Power Edition OC...I'm not planning on any manual overclocks and just want a low noise, cool, high performing card at 1920 x 1200 with a single 24" LCD

didn't the MSI cards have a major overvoltage issue a few months back?...did they ever fix that?

Dude don't buy anything, wait for the new series to come out, your 580 is more than enough. Or at LEAST go for a 680.

Otherwise it'd be a waste of money.

I agree paying full price for a 670/680 would not be wise but I was planning on selling my 580 for around $200 thinking that it would help offset the price of the new card making it more worth it

I upgraded from GTX 580 1.5GB to GTX 670 2GB and had taken the GTX 580 resale value into account... but I was pretty disappointed overall. I could easily have skipped the GTX 600 series, but the upgrade itch at the time was too great. At the very best of it I get a 20% performance boost top.

Personally I'd wait or go after a Radeon HD7970 which adds a bit more distance to the GTX 580 but at the same costs of a GTX 670.

you're right that a 20% performance probably isn't worth the trouble of selling the 580 and buying a new card...I was thinking that the lower power usage, temps, noise levels etc might add some value but my MSI 580 Lightning is not too bad in that regards

the 7970 does sound like a better upgrade but I prefer sticking with Nvidia for the time being
