Hell Yeah, nice one for the heads up !!!

Does the version of nflash included work in from within dos ?
Or is it a Windows only version? (so need to uninstall gfx driver first to use in windows)

Works in windows. You don't need to remove driver to flash, just disable your graphics card in device manager, flash then reboot then enable your card(s).

Is this something new to maxwell having to disable the card in device manager before flashing?

It won't flash and can even crash if attempted while the driver is active.

Idk if it can/will be fixed.
Its something related to the way Maxwell works.

GPU-Z for example has to disable the driver temporarily before it can save a Maxwell bios.

Yeah disabling in device manager first worked a treat.

However I cant mod and then flash my vbios yet :(

The newest Bios - v180, for my MSI 970 4G that i"m running requires a newer version(5.196) of NVFlash to the one included in this pack (5.190)
5.190 just returns an error (stock or modified vBios version of my v180 vbios) if I try to flash.

I'll have to wait for a hacked 5.196 to be able to mod and flash my current vBios. (Unless I go back to older v125/v126 vbios which worked ok with hacked NVFlash 5.190 included in this pack)

It will be interesting to see how far the tweaker can take the 980. The PCB board is gimped by true voltage increase hence the power phases on the board which is why i sent my cards back.

This will change with the EVGA Classy however it all depends how closely Nvidia stick to there own Greenlight Program, one of the reason why EVbot was pulled from sale.

Is this specfically tailored to 980/970? Because it does not support my gtx 750 ti.

The name of the ship in the tool is supposed to give you hints what it supports, if you want one for 700 series you are looking for the kepler bios tweaker

First gen maxewell. If you look closely, the tool's name is "Maxwell II BIOS Tweaker".

Sure, I was coming from the angle that a Kepler BIOS tweaker wouldn't work on a 750 Ti, not that this one would. However searching on this subject seem to show that the Kepler BIOS tweaker does in fact work with a 750 Ti so there's double egg on my face.
