If you google "gpu boost not working" you find tons of threads about gpu boost not working, the most common being that the card just stays at core clocks even though a demanding game is open and having FPS issues.

Setting nvidia control panel to use the card/maximum performance does nothing.

The only workarounds that I have seen posted have been to use overclock programs (which doesnt work all the time for some reason, card stays stuck at core clock) or to use a modded bios (which is what i have to use now).

Overheating is not the cause as temps are fine.

Anyone happen to know more about this?

Is this what happens to you? I've never had problems with my cards boosting.

If you google "<insert ANYTHING here> not working" you'll find tons of threads about everything ever made not working.

ecalp sorry for the off topic, what's your voltage mode, value, and max core temp at gaming and stress load for your 7700K to get 5GHz overclock?
    Thanks

5ghz - Adaptive voltage, 1.318v, no offset, LLC6, voltage under load 1.344v, P95 temp around 60-73C, gaming temp 55-60C (game dependant)
4.9ghz - Adaptive voltage, 1.255v, no offset, LLC6, voltage under load 1.280v, P95 temp around 53-65C, gaming temp 45-55C (game dependant).

    CPU is delided.
