I just made the plunge on both the Gtx 1080 and the Asus Rampage 5 Edition 10 Mobo.

I couldn't be happier except for the fact that the only port that works on my GPU is the HDMI port. I've tried everything to get DP to work to no avail, from different cables to a different monitor. nada.

What could be causing this issue?

    More info:

When plugged in, my monitor beeps to acknowledge that a connection has been made, but it just goes to a blank screen afterwards. It wont even show the Bios on startup.

Some people have mentioned updating the vBios, but I've found no such thing for my specific motherboard.

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Update the video bios for the video card.

There is no video bios for a motherboard.

You might find some newer bios on techpowerup website.

    But sounds like faulty card.

Only Bios I found was for the Amp! Extreme edition, mines just the regular Amp! with 2 fans.

    sigh.

    Hi Adamora,

Sometimes DisplayPort has issues displaying during boot and you will have to wait until Windows loads.

However, if this is not the case, please work with our support team for further assistance:

Can you let us know what monitors you are using?
Can you check in your BIOS? Sometimes there is a default setting regarding DP that you can change

    Email: support.us@zotac[dot]com
Live Help: zotac[dot]com/support (green tab on left side)

    Thanks,

    ZOTAC

The monitors used are two 32 LG 32UC98.

I'll check the motherboard for a DP setting.

edit: no DP settings on the Rampage 5 Edition 10.

Since they are both the same monitor, try a different brand?
