Default AGESA Question? - 07-14-2017, 00:33 | posts: 48 | Location: USA

MSI released bios 1.4 for the X370 Krait boards that says "- Improved memory compatibility. - Updated AGESA Code 1.0.0.6" but once flashed Aida64 still reports 1.0.0.4a.

I see a lot of memory sub timings have been opened up, but I'm still unable to reach 3200mhz with my Sk-Hynix based Corsair ram.

Aren't the new sub timings supposed to be part of the new AGESA update?

Same on my MSI board, the 1.0.0.6 support bios has 1.0.0.4a string. I think it was just an oversight.

Thanks man, good to know the Pro Carbon has the same issue. I couldn't find anyone talking about this issue anywhere. I didn't know if the mistake was labeling inside the bios or on the description of the update page.

I'll try messing with voltages and timings (crosses fingers).

I posted a screenshot of AIDA memory benchmark here:

It has been 100 percent stable, which is nice. I doubt I could do that with 1.0.0.4a!
