USB 2.0 isn't working on my mobo. It's only running at 1.1 speeds when I hook up a USB 2.0 device. It doesn't matter what USB port I use. My devices work at the right speeds on my laptop. USB 2.0 enabled in the BIOS. Any ideas what the problem is? Mobo is an ASRock 939Dual-SATA2.
check in the computers device manager. down the bottom of the lists is the usb devices. if there is a yellow exclamation mark reinstall that driver. service pack 2 usually does this when installed( it provides the drivers for usb 2.0). other than that not sure what could be wrong.
What BIOS are you using. I had the same issue until i flashed my BIOS to 2.20 and it fixed the problem.
I didn't put this in the wrong forum did I? I thought did put it in the right one. I must have been tired. SP2 is installed, I'll try updating the BIOS when I get home.
Ok, I updated to BIOS version 2.30. Problem is still there, it must be a driver issue. I'll have to find a driver update.
