    Hi,
I just bought new HGST Ultrastar 7k4000 2x4TB and I'd like to examine them precisely before using.

What applications should I use for reliable testing?

I have installed HD Tune and HD Sentinel.
I can't find any way to make a test in the latter one (suppost to be a surface test?). Any help? I have a trial version obviously.

    Update:
The same question about CrystalDiskInfo. What to choose to conduct a health test?

HDD Sentinel performs a check when it loads, if it doesn't report any problems in any of the tabs, your disks are likely fine
