what's the difference?? What is the difference between these 2 GPU's XFX Double D R9-280X-TDFD XFX Black Edition Double D R9-280A-TDBD TDFD vs TDBD Thank you for any input....
Hello BravoFxTrt, The main difference appears to be the core clock speed. The 280X has more stream processors etc, making it the slightly faster of the two cards. And Stream Processors. Higher Core clock on the 280x actually means nothing compared to the extra SP's it has. 80mhz is notta, you can do a better OC yourself. 280x = 2048 SP's 280 = 1792 SP's Easier way to look at it is, if you can afford the 280x, that is what you want.
Yes the 280X has a higher core clock and has extra stream processors, as well as a few extra compute units etc. It's the faster of the two cards, though both will perform similarly.
Hi Gurus, Iv ordered the MSI Video R9 280X GAMING 3G, can any one tell me of their experience with this Card? Iv also ordered a 850W PSU, im thinking of going Cross Fire!
no, but they'll make the 280x about 10% faster, clock for clock. Both will clock similarly though, clockspeed can be ignored. I'd buy whichever is more affordable within your budget.
Hello again, finally installed a MSI R9 280X, man what a sweet card. I wish to say Many Thanks for those who posted feed back in my Thread. "I'll be Gaming Now!!!
why do people continue to ask this? no one is going to answer that question. When they are ready is the only answer you will ever get.
Cool, is 'very soon' like this week or next? You guys prefer to launch at the beginning of a week, right?
