Check for yourself...but Microsoft is adding tracking telemetry to older OS. Read here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3075249

So they want to track us no matter what the OS. They are really putting on the full court press!

    Just beware!

Yea..., to be honest they try to do what Apple and Google already do since some times...the goal is 0 privacy.

The good news is that they are pushing an entire generation on opensource OSs, that's the kick in the B..t they were waiting for. (i hope it'll work this time)

If it wasn't for gaming, I'd already be running Linux full time....

Careful, you'll be upsetting people with language like that. Next thing we know they'll be choking on their corn flakes and in here screaming about "tin foil!".

There is going to be a new cottage industry sell "de-botnet" programs for Windows 10 - 7.

They'll even be released in the Windows App Store :)

If you opt out of customer experience improvement program I don't think these updates do anything .

Exactly, all this update does is to add an extra metric to the CEIP. Bascially, all it does is to measure how often and how many times you encounter the UAC prompt, cancel it, and enter the correct and incorrect password for it. They are trying to determine if it is an inconvenient obstacle that needs to be changed to be less obtrusive or not.

If you have opted out of the CEIP, then this has no effect (until you opt in). If you have opted into the CEIP, then this adds an extra metric for them to aggregate (read anonymize) and analyze in order to try to figure out if/how to improve Windows.

It’s fairly innocuous overall, especially if you are not even signed up for CEIP (in fact, it could prove beneficial).
