Help, folding not working.

Hi. i downloaded folding at home from standford website, and it says attepting to get work packets, for hours.. nothing happens.
so i tried isntalling the console version, that dnt work either....
so i tried putting this at the end of the target: -gpu 0 -forcegpu nvidia_g80

i wnt to fold but it dnt work.. any 1 knows whats up? btw i was going to fold for guru3d..:bang::bang::bang:

 

There must be a network issue at Stanford atm. I'm having the same issue. Retry after retry fails. It's happened before but they'll sort it out sooner or later.

 

same thing happened when i still had xp, its kind of unbelieveable that jsut when i wnt to fold it dnt work.

 

Can you post your log file?
ther maybe some information in there that we can use to help you..

 

I'm working under the assumption that we're having the same issue. Other forums have directly addressed this issue, and all say it was a server issue on Stanford's side.

I can ping the work server just fine, just can't get workload.

one of the servers are down so thats probs why you having difficulties

 

are you running gpu or cpu client?

 

running gpu client, not it dnt work again.. says core missing or something..

 

can you copy and paste the log file so i can take a look

 

i dnt know how to do that on the console version..

 

in the directory you've setup for the console there will be a file called "FAHlog.txt" open that and copy and paste it here

To begin with this is cpu client not gpu.
First to get you going download and install gpu client.

Then uninstall the cpu client (delete the folder created in your users\documents directory, and re-install the cpu client.

 

i downloaded the one that u linked me to, but it looks like its using the cpu, not the gpu.

Yes that looks like it is working. (Console version not system tray).

 

how do i monitor my progress on the console version, and how do i see my points per day etc? tnx for hepling every1.
