    Possible Nvidia GM200 here,

    3072SP 24C 1.1GHz/1.39GHz, 3MB L2, 12GB 6GHz 384-bit

    Monster..

This could be Tesla, consumer GPU possibly 6GB version with gimped compute.

I was hopeing this was going to be released before Xmas, however when you think about it Nvidia don't need too. As soon as AMD release there R390/380/370 in Feb 2015 I reckon Nvidia will then drop the Bomb.

Im still hopeing for an Xmas 2014 release.....

It will be a beast! I'm sure a gaming GPU would have 7gz RAM, not 6 though.

I agree, Nvidia don't need to release this yet, it'll come out after the next-gen AMD release.

NVIDIA will release it when AMD can compete with it, or before it gonna called Zeus Prime.

But vet, this is not 4u.

Why wouldn't they need to? They have no card above the GTX 980 which is $550. This gives them a chance to introduce a Titan II at $1000, just like last time. You think Nvidia would have dropped a Titan at $1000 had AMD had their 290/290X cards ready at the time (Feb 2013)?

They'll release it once it's ready, there's no point in holding something back when you pump R&D funds into it.

    Thanks for the intel Vet.
Yet again, it only makes the waiting more difficult, since that GPU would be kickass. I also like the 384bit bus, if it stays true... I just hope it's really released for Christmas! :frown:

where do you see 16nm , the chip there talking about is 28nm for sure , it probably be out around end or beginning of next yr , just a guess .
I would imagine they would do a refresh of GM204 and GM200 once next process matures .

No way they are waiting till 16nm is out and mature, that would be like 1-2yrs .

That wont happen because the Titans are based on Quadro boards this is why they are priced so highly. They will cost around the same as a Titan Z(£3000).

Since the Titan II is a low volume seller they could well introduce it before their mainstream cards go 16 nm (or even 20 nm). It's going to cost an arm and a leg anyway, why not just just for the left nut as well?

Nvidia are purportedly behind AMD in introducing the next process cards, which are 20 nm. This 16 nm story seems a bit of a stretch, they would really be low yield at least for the moment. The 16 nm process at TSMC is supposedly still in development, the base 16 nm is for low power devices (not video cards), and 16 nm+ process is still in development.Next year AMD are bringing out the R9 3xx cards, and they look to be something special. I guess that's why Nvidia will be charging for your left nut, because at least on paper, Nvidia's left nut's going to be left squashed after AMD kick them hard. I guess they want the performance crown, which actually does help sales of lesser cards even if they aren't as good as the competition. The cost will be irrelevant, even if it is $3000+ for an aftermarket one.

I would much rather they bring out a GTX980Ti than an overpriced TITAN II

Exactly, plain rumors 90% of the time, imo just to get more traffic there. :D

Overall it looks ok chip, but yeah will wait for more solid info first.

    Like yours. So that's that.
