Weird thing just happened. I was just surfing the web using firefox to read a story and listing to music through itunes. When I got the to site (fanfiction.net) and I would left click on a option it would download the page link. Left clicking would not open a new window but rather save it like a download.

To fix it I tried to exit firefox then all of the sudden windows media center opened. I dunno how because I don't have a desktop link of any kind. At the same time my new keyboard also froze.

Only way to 'fix' it was to restart the system by hitting the button.

Any idea what could be going on?

I ran two virus scans using NOD32 (one on my Windows 7 boot the other on my XP pro 32bit boot) and both came up clean.
