Hi all new to the forums..
Just got rid of the ps4 pro and bought myself this....asus g20cb

I'm soon going to be putting my old video tapes on my pc then burn to disc.
They are of my kids when they were younger and family holidays and my weeding etc

But I want a good if possible a 1080p video encoder for better picture quality I think the 1st video is around the year 2000

    Thx for your input

Do you have analog or digital (DV) tapes?
I encoded my digital DV tapes using ffmpeg. I also extracted the DV datetime code and converted into subtitles because I did not want to burn the date/time into the video stream.
If you have DV tapes I can look for the tools I used.
I also decided that upscaling (to 1080p) is waste of time and/or space.
