D3DOverrider Not Launching [Windows 8] -

Title say it all.
I am running Windows 8 Pro x64 and D3DOverrider will not launch. No error messages, I just click and get the spinning wheel for a about a second then nothing. A D3DOverrider process opens in the background (I checked with Task Manager) but no app. Tried uninstalling and re-installing and a couple compatibility modes but no dice. I have done some googling with no success. Is this a known issue? Thanks in advance! |

Yeah I can't even get that far. I have seen a couple of fixes for that involving using Windows 7 compatibly on the .exe you are opening.
I just need to make Metro 2033 playable. |
