Hi,

I've been the happy user of RivaTuner for some time now (thx Unwinder, greatest util on earth!) First with my WinFast GeForce2 Pro and now with my new WinFast GeForce3 TDH.

With the GeForce2 card I had no problems with forcing SBA and FW on, but on the new GeForce3 card there seems to be a problem with that. After booting Win2K, I can typically move the mouse around for about a second or two before the screen locks and I need to reboot?

Anyone knows how to solve this? Could it be my AGP drive strength setting in the MB BIOS (it's set to Auto, which worked for my GeForce2)

My specs:

AMD Athlon-C 1.2GHz
Asus A7V133 (VIA KT133A chipset)
256Mb SDRAM (133MHz)

The system is running very cool (AMD@45C VIA@30C GeForce@50) thanks to ten (yep, no less) fans total in my case So this should not be it (when I had my GeForce2 I was running quite hot, AMD@70C and still had no problems!)

Thanks for any help you might have!

A-)

I'm afraid that I cannot help you. NVIDIA disable SBA and FW on some systems not only just for fun. They do it in order to improve stability. By enabling it you lower it.
Ok, Thanks anyway Alexey!

I got the FW to work by re-upgrading some VIA drivers and stuff, guess I'll live without the SBA then.

Once again: Thanks for the BEST utility EVER!
P.S. As an avid user of the "PowerUser" tab, I've noticed that you have a help icon on the context-menu for each registry-setting, which states that help will be available in the final version! This sounds great, I can't wait to read any info you might have on all those undocumented settings. Meanwhile, is there anyplace I could go to get some info on those "mystery" settings (some of which sounds very promising and/or intrigueing) at this time? If not: When do you plan to release the offical version, and how much info do you expect to have the settings?
