    I actually saw an announcement that they pulled out of the market. Disappointing really, I bet the Kyro III would have been something special.

    I think if it had any potential it would have been brought to market. Probably too difficult of a business to jump into when it's so competitive to begin with.

    they are owned by stm, a much larger corporation than nvidia, making everything from chips for digital cams to kyro chipsets.

    true but nvidia could buy the division.... i mean if its not profitable for them.. sell it off to nvidia... they would more then likely buy it... just keep goobling up company after company... I almost smell a monopoly if it wasnt for ATI

    STM want to pull out of the business, but chips are still developped. Hercules announced their new card based on the Kyro2 SE chip:<br>
    <br>
    4 pipelines instead of two for the Kyro2<br>
    200Mhz clock<br>
    DX8 support<br>
    T&L support in hardware<br>
    plus some more (can't remenber)<br>
    <br>
    so I'd say, maybe we'll still get the Kyro3 in some reasonable time
