I just ran it at modest clocks 1150/7516. I netted 5000. You need an intel cpu to take advantage of xfire
@Agent-A01 and @---TK---: Very good! CPU AMD is crap because AMD can't get more efficient at each core yet about 5 or 6 years.
Sh1t balls lol Looks like a full on upgrade is on the cards soon then If it's definitely the CPU, just shows the difference between AMD and Intel atm - 8 core 4.9GHz and still a bottleneck
I can improve on the score I got. By oc farther. 5000 on a 2nd gen i7 just clocked at 4.6ghz. Thats a 3 1/2 year old cpu. Just shows how far amd cpus are behind in multi gpu situations.
I feel like there is something else wrong too, but there is not many / any people with similar enough setups to compared against Sending me £1000 would help also lol Yea Im definitely moving over as soon as the funds are here, I thought Id be scoring pretty close to my brother with 780ti SLI when I got this card, but not even close for the majority of benches
You could always pick up X58 and one of those cheap 6 cores 5660 or something, that would cost 200-300 total, assuming your ram will work with it.
I think I`ll go for something pretty high end when I make the move, something that's gonna kick ass and last a long time Watching this video showed me just how much of a bottleneck I must have Titan Z SLI vs 295X2 CrossFire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM2jz0wC3Bs
Yep, I cranked the NB up from 2600 to 2800 and gave the CPU a tad more juice, gained a good few points from it
It's mixed RAM, I had problems getting it stable to start with, not sure it would let me without throwing up errors again, could give it a shot I guess, I've got my BIOS profile saved You think the points boost from bumping the NB is a sign that the RAM might be holding it back a bit ?
