Will starting with redstone 3 updates will already be paid?

Brace yourself for the impact (twice per year)

Well schedules can backfire by having the obligation to do them. They didn't really need to setup something like that or at least tell others about that.

You telling me M$ could release an update without annihilating OS and software running on it?
What we gonna do with all those totally stable, bug free updates?

It's going to get even more bloated. Since Anniversary Update many services you can't touche anymore, and Creator Update added Apps that you can't remove either.

I like windows 10 for its native compatibility with USB3, SSDs, new CPUs and hardware in general limiting the time consumed monitoring driver updates and also DX12 moving forward.

However as far as everything else is concerned I really miss windows 7.

This is why I installed LTSB 2016, no Cortana, no apps, no store, no edge, and more importantly, no forced updates to create Winbloat!

actually, the latest Creator update is a huge advantage for me.

I can see my PC is running all good and smoother than ever and less latency than ever before. I am getting 20-35ns when gaming by the latencyMon app.

and I didn't have to remove any bloatware. booting PC takes even less time almost 1.5 seconds when Asus logo appears first boot. I Luv everything about win 10 now

I had no clue something like this existed - I've wanted something like this for such a long time. All I want out of Windows is the ability to play games and nothing else, and it is often such a burden to remove all the useless bloat it comes with.

I heard that you don't need to activate it as long as you're willing to put up with nagging reminders. What are your thoughts on this?

I'd bet that the number of holdouts on W7 would be significantly lower if they offered this to people. Microsoft has gotten rather daft in recent years :3eyes:.

One person complains about features taken away, while another:

Windows 10 is such a high profile OS, you're right. That's why I'm running the Creators Update on my 3-year old phone with Snapdragon 400 and 1GB of RAM, better than my wife's Moto G2 runs Nougat with CM14.1.
    :infinity:
Such bloat, how can we take it.

Which software doesn't work specifically? If you run the 32bit version you can even use pre-NT kernel applications.

Been doing a little reading about Windows LTSB compared to the retail version for gaming and so far it would seem that the difference in performance while gaming is negligible,
as window will put processes into a suspended status and most of the background apps when not in use .

Only had a five minute read .

Would be nice if we could see gaming benchmarks between the two different versions.

Creators Update ran smoothly for me. The only issue I had (well not really an issue) was that I had to set a few settings again in my Nvidia control panel and for my sound card control panel.

Additionally, thankfully, Kaspersky released a patch to make their products compatible before the release or CU.

I love how whenever there's information about windows, it's complain complain complain. No matter what it is.

    Provide great feature? - Complain
    Update too often? - Complain
Don't update too often? - Complain
Try to get the OS working faster? - Complain
    Do anything? - Complain
    Do nothing? - Complain

I would never want that. I don't use Cortana but I do find Edge and the Store to be very useful. Some of the apps are pretty good too. The mail app works very nicely on my tablet. The apps I don't use are easily uninstalled.
