Anyone catch the show? I thought it was really good. I was so stoked to see it and it didnt dissapoint. .bout time we had a zombie show.
The general theme of movies in the past couple of years has been the occult, paranormal, evil, gore, tyranny, extraterrestrial, control, martial law, police state...I'm sure it's all designed to make us better, well adjusted citizens. Oh; I forgot to mention the deluge of "reality" shows coming out of the woodwork like cockroaches! This society gets dumber by the second! Good thing you're not all being brainwashed by the media, eh?
Cool, now lets talk about this awesome show and cut down on the unnecessary and off-topic tin foil sermon?
The whole show is apparently shot in 16mm for that lovely gritty look. Awesome! AMC is on a roll... first Mad Men, then Breaking Bad and now this!
Just watched it, the intro felt far to close to 28 days later but after that it turned out to be really good. Should be interesting to see how he gets out
That's what I thought too - very very 28 days later-esque. But then, zombie stuff is all about the classical clichés (yes! Old-fashioned slow moving zombies!) and I think it worked out great. I just hope they'll give us lots of character depth, hollow barbie doll looking characters can destroy even the best of stories. My biggest gripe is AMC's low-quality broadcasting which creates lots of compression artifacts from the heavy use of film grain on the 16mm source.
Usually I ignore zombie shows/movies now cause they can get so corny, but this looks great. Saw episode one and can't wait for the next episode. AMC has a great lineup.
downloading pilot now after seeing a youtube trailer, thanks for pointing this out for me guys i love zombie moves, this looked like 28 days later (the part where he wakes up in a deserted hospital)
I was impressed by the first episode. Some quality scenes there. A true zombie movie. Hate these commedy flicks tho
He he love the people saying the opening was very 28 Days, consider that 28 Days seriously ripped of the Day Of The Triffids opening. still Really enjoyed the 1st ep
