Dying light maxxed out at 1440p im getting 4468mb of ram used. The way things are going even 6Gb will be borderline in 12 months.

Glad to see you held out that vram wont bring you issues as fast as the 690 vram started limiting you, good purchase dude that card will last a long while

btw its called game texture cache pre-allocation, why dont you try COD AW, it can use up to 7.5gb vram.. But does it need that much maxed? Nope.
I played it with 3gb vram maxed and it was fine too. Same by Dying light or WatchDogs or COD Ghosts or Shadow of Mordor, all vram "hungry"

3Gb could be borderline by few next-gen in y2016, but 6gb not for a long time.
And sorry to say this, but GM200 12gb is overkill, it will be too slow before it can actually use that much anyway. Same now with AMD R9-290X 4gb vs 8gb cards

DirectX 11.2!?????? wow?! My GPU-z v0.8.2 gets only DirectX 11.0 - GTX 780 Ti with same GeForce driver running Win 8.1. Kepler isn't DX 11.2 supported!? Why?

Thats just allocated, most likey run just fine on 3gb cards provided the gpu is fast enough.

I think it's because Maxwell has Tier 3 support for tiled resources (the major feature for DX11.2), and Kepler only has tier 1 support. You need at least tier 2 support for that feature to have the full DX11.2 certification.

I don't know about vantage with just aio cooling on the cpu but I will try harder maybe tommorrow

no tweaks nothing DURO BABY DURO

these card are like perfect any stronger and they would really bottle neck in the cpu at lower rez, they bench like 2 980's for the most part

Yeah I seen a video of cod running over 10gb! If the game is taking that much ram does it not make the game any smoother at all? It must do something better if its using all that memory.

That's way too much paste. I'm generous with the paste and my friends always comment I put on more than is necessary and yet I use less than half that amount for sure. Just a blob or line in the center and small dots in the corners to cover the whole area should be fine.

If I've seen correctly, you've put paste on top of the pads coming with the blocks? What paste did you use Vet?

And yeah, I'd have tried to keep it smaller too, but with nonconductive paste this shouldn't be too much of a problem, no?

Its using unused vram for shadow caching, other then that nothing special.. Runs fine with shadow caching disabled too - smooth.

    Hi Fant.
I have Yasa on permanent ignore so i cannot and do not want to see his posts.
As for the paste its recommended to do it that way in the EK instructions of the Titan X. Lines across the GPU die (up down, left right and diagonal) and also a blob on the thermal pads themselves.

My Temps do not go higher than 33 degrees and all fans on 500rpm. Dead Silent. So yeah the way ive done it has given me great results thanks to EK.

Only paste i use is Proligmatech Pk3 or Gelid Extreme. I have some Hybrid paste on there as i ran out.

Ok thanks Tj, without me googling it what is shadow caching?

@Gerardfraser what is that Bios modded too? What is the TDP and boost clocks?
