    Dammit Jim, how do you get such nice screenies(and I'm not talking about the downsampling)

    I honestly don't care if the screenshot names are prepended with "CrapBag_" so long as that is followed by a date which allows for easy sorting.

    I'll see if changing the screenshot keys fixes it. Thanks for the tip!

    Thanks :) And I've just been doing it a while for a lot of games. I've learned some things from Duncan Harris and the other folks in the DeadEndThrills flickr group who obviously know a thing or two about photography. That, and gut instinct on what I think looks good I suppose.

    Ahh. I miss PMs here a lot. The site doesn't show me unread messages unless I go to the forum index but I have the gaming section here bookmarked so I never see the index page :p I'll take a look

    Not sure if this has been done yet, but I put together a simple batch file to quickly remove SweetFX from a games directory.
    Should remove every file from any version of SweetFX, from 1.0 to these new x64 supporting versions.
    http://www.mediafire.com/?uvym6oyxiakzzfd
    Code:
    @ECHO OFF
    :Ask
    CLS
    :MENU
    ECHO . SweetFX remover.
    ECHO . 1 - Deletes all files related to SweetFX.
    ECHO . 2 - Makes a back up of your settings, then deletes SweetFX.
    ECHO . 3 - Only make a backup of the settings.
    ECHO . 4 - Exit and do nothing.
    ECHO .
    ECHO . NOTE- Deleting SweetFX (options 1 or 2) also will remove this batch file.
    ECHO . Backing up only saves the settings.txt file to the folder
    ECHO . "sweetFXsettingsBACKup" located where the batch file was launched.
    ECHO . The batch file will not delete itself if options 3 or 4 are used.
    ECHO .
    SET /P M=. Choose option, then press enter:
    IF %M%==1 GOTO delete
    IF %M%==2 GOTO deleteand
    IF %M%==3 GOTO backup
    IF %M%==4 GOTO exit

    I'm loving the hell out of this game! Maybe it's just that I don't usually play racing games but this is pretty fun. Really like the sandbox nature of it. Being able to drive around at my leisure is perfect for sight-seeing \ screenshot hunting. Then when I want a bit of fun, I jump into a race. I especially love the 1 on 1 races you do to win someone's care, then have to run them down afterwards. The cars you get are fantastic. I'm especially in love with this one:

    I won that car by using the Veyron. Most one-sided race ever.

    I just found it a cheaply made NFS game. Its like they made created a map with cars and races and that is it. Last good nfs game for me was either underground 2 or undercover. Maybe I'll change my mind about it after I start playing it again. I'll probably just use it as a game for just driving cars as that what I use gta4 for :p

    Underground games were garbage and Undercover was rather meh. Most wanted was the last best one that wasnt the original formula. Yes this is all opinion. But I bleepity bleep hate rice burner games with a damn passion.

    Glad you got it working, I was getting worried something was wrong with the injector and 32bits Windows (which I don't own myself) or something like that. You're right NFS is special, I got the toggle key to work everytime it's pressed... but it looks like you're right : the screenshot key doesnt always do what it's expected to do (I tested that just right now) but it gets better after a "warm-up" I think :D. I mean the first screenshots don't come out easily but it gets better after that, doesn't it ?

    Yeah, stupid (but beautiful I have to say) game...

    Other than that I've been working on separating the SMAA pass from the other Sweetfx effects just like I had done for DX10/11 but for DX9 this time. It mostly works but I need to double check I'm not introducing artefacts or plain regressions like in the previous release. Also a few optimizations to DX11 (4/5% more fps). It's now almost the same speed as MrHaandi's but doing an extra pass (the one that applies effects separately from SMAA) which necessarily costs more.

    (Also yeah I wish I could post in a development sub-forum so people don't get confused over multiples versions/releases)

    Is there any way to make the SMAA effect better, perhaps at the cost of performance?
    I still see quite a lot of jagged edges with it, no matter what settings I choose...

    no SMAA is 1x you can max everything you only have bad performance and jagged edges

    use MSAA or downsampling if you don't have to worry about cost

    Most wanted or most wanted 2012? I'm not praising that underground 2 and undercover were the all time best nfs ever but I just found them more planned out. Like you said its opinion based on what you like or not.

    It's gone for now. It led to a trend that I should have seen coming - lots of PMs requesting that I add this game or that game, and even games I never intended to play at all.

    Those that knew it existed have seen every preset I've cared to upload anyways and I probably wouldn't have added anything else. I haven't done anything with SweetFX since then that I'd care to share simply because I only make minor tweaks now. I might share my Most Wanted tweaks simply because I've shown screenshots for it.

    Speaking of which...

    Updated the new injector in the perspective of FarCry 3 Blood Dragon release tomorrow as regular MrHaandi's injector doesn't work with DX11 FarCry 3 :
    http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4581604&postcount=528

    Couple of notes for Farcry 3 :
    . Screenshot feature doesn't work, I suspect this is a format issue which is not easy to solve and blabla... Use DXTory instead, it works.
    . You may have to switch to fullscreen (ALT + Enter) manually immediately after alt-tabbing
    . As always, it is recommended to switch off MSAA to make SMAA shine
    . Windowed borderless mode is the truth, use it. (© Durante)

    EDIT : added 2 new screenshots comparing the results of sharpening calculated on the antialiased image instead of the original image (unzip and flip between the two in your Windows Image Viewer to see the difference)
