Are any motherboards these days out of the box compatible with the i7 5775c? Sorry for the odd question, can't seem to find much info about this. My worry is to get a new mobo and not be able to boot the CPU on it. And since I don't own any 1150 chip - still rocking a 2500k - that would be awkward to say the least. Just to clarify, the motherboards I can possibly get within my budget and availability in my country: Asrock: Z97 Anniversary, Pro3, Z97 Fatal1ty Killer ASUS: Z97A, Z97E and Z97M-Plus MSI: Z97s SLI Krait, Z97 Gaming 3, PC Mate And, by the way, from the list above, which one could be possibly the best suited for the Broadwell? Thanks for any help.
any motherboard witha z97 or H97 series chipset should be compatible with broadwell. just stay away from z87 boards.
As long as the mobo is new it'll have the latest system BIOS with proper microcode to support the processor. It should not be an issue then.
U will have only issue when u try use iGPU from processor while bios is not updated. I got that situation, I hadn't external GFX, any kind... So as far u have any PCIE card for displaying u r safe, and u can update bios by urself if CPU is not supported yet. I have asus z97 pro gamer mb
