    Hi all!
Was using Rivatuner with my Asus Geforce 8800GTS 640mb and tweaked it to 620/900. Worked just fine but suddenly something happened.
The core went down to 198MHz and memory to 396MHz and I cant change it!!

Riva wont let me detect frequencys for the driver-level hardware config.
MSIs DualCore center doesnt even detect my card anymore and nvidias controlpanel tells me core and memory is at 0MHz.

Tried reinstalling drivers and applications but no luck. WTF!!!

Im running Forceware 158.18 on Vista Ultimate.

thats its failsafe boot clocks. THis happens if you overtemp (which should reset on power cycle) or if the aux power plug doesnt provide enough juice. Check to ensure your power plug on the card is still attached, if it is -your PS may not be up to the task.

    thanks for your replies!
with power plug I suppose you mean the PCI-E connector from the PSU, and yes that is still connected.
The PSU not being up to the task makes sense come to think of it... its only 450w.

How can I get the frequencys back to its factory settings?

Nothing ever happends suddently and itself without user's "help". You've simply diabled 2D/3D clock switching during activating driver-level overclocking, causing the hardware to work at safe (boot) clock speeds.
That is discussed in FAQ, and you can swicth card back to 2D/3D clocking mode by resetting all the driver's settings to their default values vai RT or via deleting AllowMaxPerf key from the registry.

    Unwinder: yepp, point taken.
Works fine now (but Dualcore center still cant see the card)
    Thanks for your time!

Glad you got it fixd in case it happens to me too, because I've been pushing mine to 650/2000 in Rivatuner, lucky it stays cool enough, 73-75'C load..
