I can not for the life of me find anything on netflix that will play in 1080p. Its either 720p and for the most part 480p only that I can find. This goes for Chrome, IE and The netflix app in Windows 10. Do they just hate PC users?!
Not an issue. You can still invite some babe for Netflix and chill and it gonna work. Heck we don't even have Netflix in Bulgaria and still works.

Did you buy the HD package? The cheapest one is only "SD". I use my PS3 for Netflix so I can't speak to how it runs on PC but all my content is 1080. Edit. Also check your settings in your Account. Playback Settings.
Believe it or not, yes I am on the HD package and yes I have checked my playback settings.. Still the best I can get is 720p
For me HD works fine on all platforms. I've had my subscription to netflix forever tho already when there was only one package and that is still my price and I get all the HD content
I think it only play at 720p in browsers. but it should play at 1080p in windows netflix app. for the netflix app. Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S – current Streaming bit-rate and manual bit-rate selection Ctrl+Shift+Alt+D – Display A/V Stats on-screen it has to be buffering at the full specs to reach hd.
Old I know but I have some new info that is relevent and of use to others. I found out today that only IE 11 or Edge will play 1080p. Chrome, Firefox and others will only play at 720p As to why, Still no idea but I have tested this and Edge does indeed play at 1080p while Chrome still plays at 720p. How odd. I wonder why this is!
