Selling my second PC to a friend who needs a new comp.

    Spec is:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz (he doesn't want it overclocked AT ALL)
    Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
    2GB HD7770
    Seagate 1TB HDD
    4GB 1066MHz RAM 5-5-5-15
    Asus P5K Premium Motherboard
Asus PCIE x1 Wi-Fi Network card (as on board wifi does not work with Windows 8)
800W Tagan 80+ Gold PSU (complete overkill I know)
    Windows 8.1 64 Bit
    Microsoft Keyboard
    Razer 4000dpi mouse

Selling all this to him for £200 which I think is a good deal for all of this.

He is a good friend though and don't want to over charge him, but I do need the money.

What would you buy this for? (ps I am not selling it on here)

Yea the GPU alone cost me around £70 brand new off ebay. It is a decent rig and all he really wants it for is Age Of Empires HD, Counter Strike GO, and watching movies/surfing the net.

He really ought to consider a SSD. My rig chugs when I start opening more than a few tabs at a time. Processor maxes out and I can tell the drive is holding it back, but I guess for a super budget rig it'll work.

As for the price, I'll be happy if I get $20 for my Antec 1200 after shipping let alone the rig :nerd:

Yea I think you're both getting a fair deal on it, not many people sell machines that come with absolutely everything needed to just plug n play like that, even KB & M

Yea and a copy of Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit as well!

For £200 I think its a very fair deal, just want a few second opinions as I don't want to rip him off and some of the stuff inside is quite old now.

Also an SSD would help him out a lot as a boot drive but remember this is only a sata 2 motherboard so the performance increase would really only be in loading times.

I will tell him to consider a 60GB-120GB SSD for the OS, but I don't think he wants to spend more than £200 and he doesn't even have a rig at the moment just has a PS4 for the exclusives and some third party games.

I also just tested out Counter Strike Global Offensive on the rig with everything at stock speeds and it still pushes 80+fps at max details 1080p 0xAA 16xAF and Motion Blur OFF.

Yeah, you're right. That's why I'm holding out to buy one when I do everything. I want to go from toyota corolla performance all the way to mclaren performance in one second :D

Hope your friend enjoys the rig.

I think it´s a fair price for both. Unless he wants to negotiate, then i´d shave 20/30p but not more. And i can´t believe how high i am right now.

You could get a lot more than that for the bits on eBay. P45 motherboards sell for a fortune.

Defo fair price. The parts themselves aren't that great these days, but not bad either and an entire system for that price, meh, good enough.

Not a bad price for that computer considering Windows 8.1 pro is 139.99 by its lonesome.

I agree. Not sure the exchange rate, but it seems like a very fair price.
