Under Windows 7 64-bit the Intel AHCI SATA controller is detected as "Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller" (Driver Date: 21/6/2006, Driver Version: 6.1.7601.23403 ). Is this the latest driver available?
This is the latest for you board : http://www.station-drivers.com/inde...tory&Itemid=353&func=fileinfo&id=2431&lang=fr
That driver supports 100 series only when in AHCI mode. The Z97 chipset is probably better off with the 13.x series of drivers such as v13.2.4.1000 WHQL.
Yes, thats the latest 14.x. I though Z97 should support 15.x but looks like thats not case. Still, you are fine now.
No, 14.8.12 is the latest of that branch. http://station-drivers.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=352&func=startdown&id=2428&lang=fr

I switched from AHCI to IDE mode in the BIOS and now the controller is detected as "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" (Driver Date: 21/06/2006, Driver Version: 6.1.7601.23403). The latest Intel RST drivers (14.8.16.1063) I could find do not seem to work to update these. What drivers do I need?
