If I were you I would get the 1200 watt PSU. It's a good idea to leave headroom in a PSU. You never know what hardware you might want to add in future. [ain't no such thing as overkill.]

+1. Bought bigger than I needed and haven't had to change it out in 3 1/2 years. Its great not having to figure in buying a new psu when upgrading.

Those Superflower units are second to none, highly recommend them. If I was buying a PSU now in Europe it's what I'd get.

    EVGA's OEM is Superflower.

    What's wrong with your 850w?

it's 4 years old, and when i bought it i had no idea about PSUs.
i want good quality one this time around, and modular.
i also suspect it's started giving me issues on occasion.
don't get me wrong i'd be happy with a quality 850w,
i'm looking at evga 1200 platinum (because of the magic inside).
though not as uber as the 1600 gold

I would go for the 1200w just in case in need of head room. And fully modular PSUs are worth every penny extra spent.

cpu temps have dropped, prolly cause i tightened cooler down a micro-notch, or perhaps it's the phanteks case fan feeding the cooler now, prolly both.

cpu overclocking seems less of a hastle with this platinum vs my ol bronze, i also have the new haswell power option thingy showing in mobo bios now (enabled by default) -the igpu standby one.
4.9 was that easy i think a solid stable 5 could be had with better cooling or after de-lid.
it's noticeable having a psu with a fan that's off most of the time (at least non-gaming) though I've not heard it gaming either.
    it's set to eco mode.
not tried it with gpu ocing past card's previous best 1280mhz yet.

ours have super flower parts inside them, not really that much difference between the two, evga has eco fan mode.

You're pretty much running a Superflower unit, they're EVGA's OEM. Your PSU is top notch, don't worry about that.
