This seems pretty bad. I just manually replaced the Gigabyte SATA controllers with some Intel ones in Device Manager. This led to a BSOD and Windows will not boot, crashing 2 frames into the BSOD before it can even display it all. I just cleared System Restore (foolishly) to clear some space so I don't have that option. I do have several system back-ups, but I don't want to restore a back-up in its entirety, just borrow some drivers from it maybe. I've done an Anytime Upgrade from 7 Home Premium to 7 Pro, so my disc isn't going to match the installed system. My options seem limited. Can anyone help? I can boot a copy of Windows 8 on a very slow dying hard disk - if it's still working. Without System Restore can you still roll back drivers? Can I do this from Command Prompt somehow? Any help much appreciated! Thanks
