gtx780ti sli 750w psu users .

    asus gtx680 dcu2 top 2gig
    Hi folks im looking to upgrade from asus dcu2 gtx680 in sli to ASUS GTX780TI-DC2OC-3GD5 in sli and im on a corsair hx750 , will this psu be adequate. My cpu is an i7-3700k oced to 4.6 on an asus p8z77v-pro with 8 gig of ram . thanks:)

    you can get nice 1000w psu for good prices btw, i feel your x2 780ti and 750w doesn't cut it, not with your overclocked cpu.

    I wouldn't chance running two 780ti's on a 750w tbh, I'd say that 850 is the bare minimum and even that might be pushing it. Why not wait until we hear more about the 800/900 series? From what we understand so far they'll use less power and have more memory, could end up saving you a PSU swap if you can wait.

    i'd take x2 780 6gb, nice msi ones over x2 780ti.
    just the ram speed that's nerfed somewhat, unfortunately.

    evga titanB sc can be had for £600, which i'd take over x2 780ti also.
    though Hilbert's vrams got real hot in the review.

    If you can afford 2 780ti, get a more powerful psu with some headroom like a quality 1000w, I would not chance 2 780ti on a dinky 750 watt tbh.

    Wise choice there.


    If not, I wouldn't risk it on a 750w psu.
