Ok, I create this thread because this section hasn't this benchmark yet about 4 years. Download - look to select mirror from Guru3D.com My old GTX 480 (died - RMA to new GTX 670) with 275.33WHQL (HQ) running Win 7 x64 with old AMD X6 1055T@stock on jan 20th, 2012: 1024x768: 86 fps 1920x1080: 44 fps My new GTX 670 with 337.88WHQL (HQ) running Win 7 x64 SP1 with i5-2500K@4.5GHz on today: 1024x768: 103 fps 1920x1080: 51 fps --> All max settings (tessellation high and DoF enabled) GTX 670 is only 1.2x faster than GTX 480!?!?? But abnormal?
Yep DOF on is a big performance killer I had this installed for a long time, but always forgot to test with new gpu This is with stock factory OC, now at 954mhz boost 1097mhz. DOF on 1080p @ 82fps DOF off 1080p @ 162fps
Yeah, friend -Tj-. GTX 670@stock (915MHz core) with boost max 1045MHz: 1080p without DoF: 103 fps My GTX 580 w/ 3GB will be coming tomorrow or tuesday to see if it will be faster than GTX 670 in this benchmark but I think DoF is in DirectCompute. I will sell new GTX 670 because Kepler is weaker than 1st- or 2nd-gen Fermi at GPU computing (eg: Octane Render... but NOT gaming!).
My GTX 580 3GB is delayed to tomorrow because my father/mother answered not deliver by mail at afternoon (today).
How do you start the benchmark ? Pressing Enter starts what looks like a benchmark, but it gives no results at the end
Press "F4" to show "performance statistics" and "Enter" to benchmark. More info - look: button start -> click all the programs -> click "Stone Giant" -> run "Stone Giant - Read Me".
Thanks I worked it out in the end 1080p First run with DOF Second run without I can remember when this was released, my machine couldn't run it properly iirc I had a 5770 and an Athlon 6000+ or something back then ------ Eyefinity - 6048x1080 First run with DOF Second run without DOF
Ok but GTX 580 isn't faster than GTX 670. Running GTX 580@reference (3GB) - look my same specs 1080p - DoF enabled: 50 fps
Nice to see some older benchmarks coming back Here are my scores with 340.52 Quadro drivers : Single GTX680 @ 1398/7800 1080p & DOF enabled : 76 fps 1080p & DOF disabled : 158 fps SLi GTX680s @ 1398/7800 1080p & DOF enabled : 150 fps 1080p & DOF disabled : 287 fps
Oc'ed 1241mhz, ram stock @ 340.52; cpu 4.6ghz, cache 4.2ghz, ram 2400mhz. DOF - on Avg: 87fps was the same at 1228mhz:nerd:
@-Tj- Well, 13 MHz out of 1200+ is not enough to gain 1 frame more on average I guess, at least not with such framerate With the advanced DOF off it probably should though. BTW I'm not seeing much difference between the DOF techniques to be honest. Nothing worth the performance impact that's for sure.
