Howdy all, I'm going to order a new video card today, and I'm trying to pick out the best one for my setup and budget. I have 1 PCI-e slot, and my budget is about $100-250, 100-250€, or 100-220£. I've been eyeballing cards like the HD 6870 for my performance and price needs, but I had a question about multiple displays, can I use my 3D HDTV via HDMI 1.4, and my 2 19'' LCD monitors at the same time? I know that NVidia only supports 2 monitors before their gtx590 line, and although ATI supports 3 I can't find out if 2x VGA and 1x HDMI will work. I have DVI to HDMI adapters and DVI to VGA adapters, so if they have analog and audio on the ports it's fine, but I can't find out if the cards support it. Thanks a lot everyone.
HD 6000 series support up to 4 displays. On DL-DVI-I you can connect VGA display using DVI to VGA adapter. But SL-DVI-D supports only digital signal (VGA is analog signal). Solution is to use DisplayPort for second VGA display , you will need mini-DP-to-VGA adapter. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB572Z/A
