    Hello,

I've been experiencing problems with my setup since I bought it, which was 2 years ago. Games were running on unstable fps, always huge fps drops and random stuttering/freezing. Only few days ago, I decided to install msi afterburner and check my gpu/cpu usage. I have only 1 game currently and it is CS GO:

It gives me 40-60 cpu usage and 30 gpu usage playing with all low settings, fps_max 160 @ 1280x1024 , 75 hz. In firefights im getting fps drops to 80 which ruins my game and most of the times Im loosing. Also fps drops in menu. When i start game it's 120 fps in menu, when I open lobby it stucks on 50 fps

    My full setup:

    FX - 8350
ASUS RADEON 7850 , 2 gb newest drivers
    Mobo - asrock 970 pro 3 r2.0 bios update done in 2015
    2 x 4 ram
ssd corsair force ls, 60 gb which helds windows 10
1 TB hdd, which helds my games
    Soundblaster audigy se sound card
    Cm evo 212 cooler
    Cm thunder 620w psu

    My temperature:
    Gpu - 55
    Cpu - 45

Before this I noticed, that while playing my cpu clocks are 2-4 ghz, always moving, so I made high performance mode in power options + cool n quiet disabled in bios, this made my cpu run always 4.0ghz, but.. I reverted these settings back, because I don't want them to be running 4.0 ghz while idle and can't find other way to force them stable 4ghz in game and lower clocks on idle

Is there any way to get me a stable fps atleast 160 or 200 on cs go or it's not possible for my setup

Nothing bad will happen if you left your CPU stuck a 4.0ghz.
CS:GO is a game that doesn't take advantage of multiples threads and your CPU in that situation don't perform really well due the architecture. But your FPS are really low, normally you should have around 150-200FPS

    >Lock your CPU frequency and if is necessary overclock it to 4.5ghz
    >Check if "multi-core rendering" is enabled

Yes multicore rendering is enabled, but the problem is I don't like having cool n quiet disabled, because it increases the noise of fans. As I wrote I'd like to find a way, that while gaming my cpu clock would go up to stable 4.0 ghz, but on idle after I stop gaming, it'd drop back to low clock. Um, anyway to increase the gpu and cpu usage or it's normal? I just feel my pc doesn't work as it should

Please do a log with MSI afterburner to see if something is wrong.

MSI afterburner can log almost every important aspect of your computer ... so with that data maybe i can pinpoint the problem.:)

I disabled it in general msi afterburn settings, my pc rebooted and installed an update. Going to try how it works now

    EDIT: http://www48.zippyshare.com/v/vVGA116R/file.html

cpu usage increased a little bit, still facing small freeze and fps drops down to 90. Is it safe to leave ulps disabled ? Also just enabled frame time logging

Well, I guess it's a stutter in a firefight where my fps dropped from 160 to 90. Those drops also happen when spectating someone. I tried to play with 200 fps, results: If a player is in closed area, etc. Dust 2 tunnels, I'm getting 200 fps, but if going to long, which is open area, I'm getting drops to 120 fps.

Also, what do you mean by configuration?
    this? http://image-upload.de/image/Otl1I7/ae87e0e9e0.png

Well, when I start game I have fps_max 74 because of my auto exec, but before going to play I type fps_max 160. Just forgot to delete the command from config.

Try overclocking your CPU to 4.5ghz (with 212 EVO will be fine), in my opinion is not related with a software configuration or drivers is the CPU that is doing a small bottleneck.
This game only "likes" CPUs with high IPC aka "fast cores" and don't advantage of more than 2 Cores, that is reason why a i3 perform better than your FX8350 in this old engine

You also can try only the "Launch Commands" of this guide ... rest is mostly bull****.

I mean while you are playing, open a menu. alt-tab or something that can affect the logging :)

I upgraded my bios to 2.50 and I don't get fps drops below 120 anymore. It's way better, thanks for your help, also should I reenable ulps?

fx-8350 will never get as much fps in CS:GO as intel CPUs its single thread bottleneck issue with CS:GO but anything over 100fps is totally usable so not a big deal (i can keep like 120-160fps in 4K with my configuration)

disabling ULPS should have zero negative effects on single gpu set ups anyway. All its supposed to do is set the non used gpu into a low power state. You have only a single gpu...so there there is nothing to be put into a low power state as its ALWAYS in use. If you have 2 cards installed in theory it would consume more power with ulps disabled but with only the one card installed it hurts nothing being disabled.

Hello, I'm back again. The bios upgrade seemed to improve my pc's overall performance. I ran latencymon to check for dpc latency and these are my results. My pc still has problems, but I'm not sure how to solve it, so I'm asking for help again. Results:

Disable Dynamic Tick and see if improves anything

run cmd and type "bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes"

to revert back "bcdedit /deletevalue disabledynamictick"

I disabled dynamic tic and ran test without reboot, it showed me again the red sign with problems. Then I rebooted and ran test second time. Result:

    main - http://image-upload.de/image/xoYf5i/760e4b633d.png

Also I noticed that I'm getting some kind of popping sound while opening a program etc hw monitor or increasing/decreasing sound while using this slider http://image-upload.de/image/2VCaTi/c591bbbdb7.png

While listening to music I cannot notice the popping @ using razer kraken neon pro

EDIT: Does the bad results of latencymon mean I got some drivers conflicting or what?

Yes, latency is very important, if it is bad, you can experience audio/video sync issues, performance problems etc.

Did the popping appeared after the tweak, or you had it before?
