A few weeks ago or so. My power supply failed on me. And since then I've had to run my Ram in single channel.
My question is, is it OK to overclock to say 4.4 on my CPU, and run my Ram at it's allotted speed of 2400mhz?
Or would it be too risky on a gimped motherboard?

    Cheers.

Your cpu should already boost all 4 cores to 4.4Ghz by default. Im sure MSI has the same tweak like Asus Multicore enhancement.

Quite possibly you can and maybe not :S. Your motherboard even with RAM at 1600 MHz and no OC could last another 10 years, or 10 minutes. It all depends on what was actually damaged or affected by the faulting PSU.

Ok cheers. I'll give it a shot with the OCGenie in the BIOS then. Think it goes to 4.4 anyway.

Roll on after Xmas so I can get a new motherboard. :nerd:
